Its been about a good month since SD Comic-Con 2017 has just passed. Thanks again for all the love and support of both new and old friends & family that stopped by. The response to the booth, artwork and my staff have been excellent. Here’s just a few snapshots of the visitors that came by this year. ‘Til next time… 2018 we’re coming for you!!!

NACU Clothing Pop-Up Shop!!!
…so a lot of things have been happening. A LOT!!! First off, the NACU Clothing release party was such a hit that we are having then back again for the next upcoming First Fridays at Liberty Station. Also, with the SD Comic Con around the corner we are having a Comic Con pre-sale event at the studio. This is so that friends and fans of The PaperAmmo Company will have first dibs on original artwork and prints that we will be selling at the con. Plus since its very hard to get tickets to the con this will allow for YOU to experience a bit of the Comic Con madness.
And last but not least… we will be having a special guest artist Ryan Benjamin doing original sketches, prints and book signings from 6-10 PM that evening. This will definitely be a great event!!! See you all there on July 1st!!!

SD Comic-Con preps going underway!!! The Annie and Athena project is in full swing. Again, thanks to everyone that participated and promoted the book project. We definitely have a lot to do to get some promotional materials ready for the con and setting a productive schedule to get the book done by mid-October. Come learn the lost and rare art form of animation cel painting. After the workshop you’ll be able to create a fine piece of art that may be hung over a mantle and/or given as a gift to a loved one. Always wanted to learn the intricacies of how watercolor and gouache painting works? Come join the workshop and we will instruct you on how this media works. The first time we held the workshop it was pretty successful. This time around we are integrating the use of gouache and extending the workshop to 3 hrs. instead of 2.
Costs of the workshop is just $45 for 3 hrs of instruction and materials will be provided as well. Seating is limited to 5 people so sign up quick.

Join us May 6th at the PaperAmmo Company to help us launch the KickStarter campaign for our illustrated children’s book!
For those who aren’t familiar with KickStarter, it’s a crowdfunding website we will be using to raise funds in order to publish, print, and distribute the book. Donations start as little as $1 and all come with some pretty awesome rewards, including aribrushed canvas bags, original artwork, and of course, hard copies of the finished book!
“Donation Stations” will be set-up if you’d like to help support the project. We will also have a special giveaway for the first 10 donations of the evening 🙂
The PaperAmmo Company is located on the 2nd floor of Barracks 19 (across the street from Slater’s 50/50).

Meet at the studio @1 PM and we will sketch around Liberty Station. Cost is just $25 for a 3 hr sketch session. This will be a very laid back workshop where you get to hang out and draw with The PaperAmmo Company. Bring a sketchbook and drawing utensils of choice. Topics that we will cover for this workshop are storytelling, observation, layout and composition.
